SENITA WILHELM-- W.O.A.M. WILL BE MISSED!!

Tue 4/28/09

I was saddened today when my friend Randy Carter informed me that our friend and W.O.A.M. Senita Wilhelm from Mississippi has passed away. It seems like in the past couple of years we've lost so many loved ones and friends. AT least that's how it feels. But I guess the truth is, when you're blessed with SO many good people in your life who truly care and genuinely love the music as much as we do and as much as I love making it, the odds are greater that we lose more of those we care about simply because there are more of those around that we care about. I understand that. But it doesn't make it any less painful or sad.
However, here is the way I see it; I/we may have one less friend in the flesh, but we have one more new angel, looking over us, one more saint in paradise with our Lord. I choose to always see the positive side when I can find it, and I find much positive in this situation. Our friend Senita was a truly sweet human being, who had her struggles like everyone else, but who has finally finished with the trials and troubles of this world, who has finished her work here, and shrugged off the troubles of physical existence and un-shouldered the tiring responsibilities of an increasingly burdensome world.
Jesus said "I have overcome the world", and our friend Senita has finally overcome it too with His grace, love, and mercy, and is waiting for the day when we all, one by one, join her at His side.
